Extending tool life and improving performance are key to improving profitability.  Recognizing its importance, an entire day will be devoted to the topic.

An open panel discussion in the afternoon will follow the presentations. Your questions may address what types of surface engineering are best suited for your particular tooling needs and subsequent ways to properly maintain their benefits.

  • For the first time NADCA has assembled a panel of experts that will answer questions regarding die materials, die failures, and proactive or reactive surface engineering solutions.
    Their focus will be on what needs to be done to Keep Die Casting in the USA - Panel discussion members will include (in no particular order)  - Peter Ried - Ried & Associates, Gary Lockwitz - Harley Davidson, Jerald Skoff - Badger Metal Tech,  Lester Doniec - Ultra Polishing, Phygen Coatings - Patrick Rosenfeld & Dave Bell, FISA - Dave Magnuson, Swiss Tek - Peter Bartos, Don Brandt - Fremar Industries, and Pat Miller - Uddeholm steel.
