After a long dry spell, we are pleased to announce the return of
our Newsletter. Since 1994, Badger has been publishing information,
concepts, and new developments for the die casting industry. During
the horrific economic downturn, there was ample time to update, revise, and
change many aspects of the Badger Metal operations. Let's get
everyone "up to date" who previously read and used our newsletter.

New Owners
After 27+ years as the owner and President of Badger
Metal Tech, Inc, Jerry Skoff on July 26, 2010 decided on turning over the
daily responsibilities to two entrepreneurial and experienced new
owners....Tim Newman and John Hessler. Jerry because of his love and
involvement in the industry will remain on in a consulting capacity for at
least two years and will continue to be involved in most daily activities.
All of his contact information will remain the same. A new article by
Jerry has been published in the NADCA September 2010 issue of Die Casting
Engineer magazine. Pick up a copy and read about his comments on
casting defects and how to minimize them.

New Web
Site
The next time you visit
www.badgermetal.com
you will see a completely new web site with easy to use drop down menus that
enable the viewer to drop down to sub levels and quickly from there to any
other page on our website. The design we used is "max 3 clicks".
This means that only by performing a maximum of three mouse clicks, you can
find the information that you want.
The site map has a floating menu and stationary links to
help you easily navigate through our 350+ pages of information. We
encourage you to use our web site as a resource for all of your die casting
materials related interests. Built into our site is downloadable
information in the expanded "Resources" section. Our search engine is
java scripted to make finding specific items of interest easier to find.
The left sidebar menu has a few examples of our links to show you how easy
the new site is to use.
Even the top header has active links to our main page for
MetaLLife,
ThermaLLife
and
TooLLife, our newest process.

Go to Meeting
A "one on one" face to face meeting has always been a
productive way to communicate. With the advent of the internet and
telecommunications, Badger now has the capability to meet this way without
leaving the office and without our customers leaving their desks. For
those of you who are not familiar with Go to Meeting, this is an effective
way to communicate by have voice and visual exchange using the computer.
The procedure works this way - A scheduled time is set up with the
individual or individuals for the meeting to take place. The client
logs onto the web using a special password which then enables the client to
view Badger Metal's computer screen/s. If you have a customer who
would like to be included, he is also sent an invite. It's that
simple.
